Am I The Only One

  Tell me I'm not the only one.   Have you ever came home from the store to find the diet coke you thought you bought was really a regular coke?  Or the mozzarella cheese you got for your pizza was actually imitation mozzarella cheese?

    I didn't buy the wrong thing this time but I have been using the wrong thing.  I noticed I've been using my dry sweeping refill sheets for fabric softener sheets.. For some reason I sat them on the dryer like they were fabric sheets and have been using them every since.  Oh well, one thing is for sure, we shouldn't have any lint, dust, dirt or hair on our clothes. At least I haven't been dusting the floor with the fabric softener sheets.... Please tell me I'm not the only one.

      Oh I am sure and i know I have done a few off the wall and crazy things at one point or another and not realized I was doing it. Then when I realize i just shake my head and laugh what was I thinking and who all seen it..lol

Some of you requested the Raisin Pie recipe so here it is. I had never had a raisin pie until I married into the Gray family. Mark loved them and when I was given a bridal shower before we married, everyone was asked to bring a recipe. Marilyn Losson brought this one. I have to admit as a young wife I let it sit in the recipe box for a little while but once I took it out, it just kept coming back out. Mark's grandpa Gray loved a raisin pie and so we took this over to his house often and of course we took a half gallon vanilla ice cream along with us. When Lucas came in the other day and saw this on the counter he said the first thing he thought of was Grandpa Herman. SANDWICH RING....IT COULD NOT BE EASIER!

The Sandwich Ring got a big response. Several of you asked about how to make it so I'm gonna to tell you. It's so not hard. It looks impressive but it's for the beginner cook. Here's what you need. 2 tubes (11 ounces each) refrigerated crusty French bread dough Bottle Italian dressing 1/2 pound sliced deli ham 1/4 pound Swiss cheese, halved 1/2 pound sliced deli Roast Beef 1/4 pound colby cheese, halved 1/2 pound sliced deli turkey 2 cups shredded lettuce 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced 1 green pepper, thinly sliced 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced sliced black olives sliced jalapeno peppers Take the two loaves of dough and put them seam side down on a greased pizza pan, forming a large ring and pinch the ends to seal it. Then take a sharp knife and make eight fairly deep slices across the top of the bread. Brush the top of the bread with Italian salad dressing. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. CABBAGE STEAKS

I shared this picture on fb and was asked for the recipe so I decided to just put it in a blog I first got this recipe from Shotgun Red. He has a YouTube channel with lots of good recipes and this is one I decided to try. Since Mark and I are cutting back on carbs and sugars this makes a great side. Here's what you are gonna need. 1 large head of cabbage 1 stick butter 2 tsp. Minced garlic 1tsp. Black pepper 1 tsp. Smoked paprika 1 tbsp. Olive oil Parmesan cheese Line a baking sheet with foil. Turn oven to 375 Remove outer leaves from cabbage Slice cabbage into at least one inch thick slices. Put them on the baking sheet in a single layer. Melt butter and all other ingredients except the cheese. Whisk well. Brush mixture all over the cabbage steaks covering well. Use all of the mixture. Bake in the oven for forty minutes. Remove from the oven and top with cheese. Return the cabbage steaks to the oven until cheese melts and is golden. I b...
