The flowers reminded me of a mom. She gets all wilting during the struggle of the day but after a cool shower she perks up and goes again.

Everything is fresher after the rain. My herbs are there by the door just calling for me to go in and cook something.

I have no idea what this is but I love it.

I was trying to do one of those water droplet pictures here. It didn't work.

This is the north kitchen window. The storm came from the north and the screen was covered in water droplets. I wanted to show you. It didn't work here either. So much for water droplet photos.

I'm sure I heard the corn making popping sounds it shot up after the rain or so it seemed.

More mud on the vehicles but maybe that's better than dust, but then again I guess mud is just wet dust so maybe it's really six of one and half a dozen of the other. It's a mess no matter how you look at it.

It all ended with a rainbow. God made it perfect, I'm the one that made it blurry. I don't know how I did that but I had to go ahead and use it. I mean what would an after the rain blog be if it didn't eand with a rainbow?

One of my favorite things about a rainbow is it's the only time I know God and I are sharing the same thought at the same time.
"I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind

    I just love a rainbow...actually we seen a double one when we was in Salem last night.

      I kept going outside to see if there was one but didn't see anything then when Mark went out he called for me and there it was. Not a double one but it was really big

The Sandwich Ring got a big response. Several of you asked about how to make it so I'm gonna to tell you. It's so not hard. It looks impressive but it's for the beginner cook. Here's what you need. 2 tubes (11 ounces each) refrigerated crusty French bread dough Bottle Italian dressing 1/2 pound sliced deli ham 1/4 pound Swiss cheese, halved 1/2 pound sliced deli Roast Beef 1/4 pound colby cheese, halved 1/2 pound sliced deli turkey 2 cups shredded lettuce 1 medium red onion, thinly sliced 1 green pepper, thinly sliced 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced sliced black olives sliced jalapeno peppers Take the two loaves of dough and put them seam side down on a greased pizza pan, forming a large ring and pinch the ends to seal it. Then take a sharp knife and make eight fairly deep slices across the top of the bread. Brush the top of the bread with Italian salad dressing. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Raisin Pie....AN OLD FASHIONED FAVORITE

Some of you requested the Raisin Pie recipe so here it is. I had never had a raisin pie until I married into the Gray family. Mark loved them and when I was given a bridal shower before we married, everyone was asked to bring a recipe. Marilyn Losson brought this one. I have to admit as a young wife I let it sit in the recipe box for a little while but once I took it out, it just kept coming back out. Mark's grandpa Gray loved a raisin pie and so we took this over to his house often and of course we took a half gallon vanilla ice cream along with us. When Lucas came in the other day and saw this on the counter he said the first thing he thought of was Grandpa Herman. The girls aren't crazy about this pie but Lucas likes it and he likes it with ice cream too, so I'm thinking it's a Gray man thing. The Market Place - They've Got A Give Away Going On

My friends Barb and Bobby along with their girls, Andi, Ashley, Shannon and Courtney are hosting The Market Place Saturday, April 27 at the Campbellsburg Community Building in Campbellsburg. They will open at 10:00 in the morning and close at 5:00 in the evening. These ladies spend countless hours in shops, flea markets, yard sales, and auctions to be able to bring  us the best possible selection of decor for our homes, porches, business or office.
