EVERYONE LOVES AN UNDERDOG UNTIL HE ISN'T UNDER ANYMORE
Everyone loves an underdog until he isn't under anymore.
If a person makes bad choices and ends up in a place in life they would rather not be they want to forget the choice but others don't forget it.
When the person is struggling often times people bring up the bad choices they made but the person is trying to move past the bad choice.
If someone makes good choices and ends up better in life people want to forget the wise choices but the person doesn't forget it.
Remember the show Extreme Makeover?
They would find a family that was down and out and they would go in and give them basically a new home. A wonderful home.
Friends, neighbors and whole communities jumped on board to help.
When the house was finished they all celebrated.
But what happened in a few months?
What happened over time?
Some of those people who had been so excited started to think differently.
They thought back to when that family didn't have anything.
They looked at what they had now and thought about how they wouldn't have it if someone hadn't given it to them.
Little by little people forget.
It doesn't have to be extreme makeovers it can just be life.
Someone may start out with not much.
They may work hard and then keep working hard and little by little work pays off.
They start to make head way.
Some people don't like that.
Some people forget how hard they worked, they forget how they went without.
The person doesn't forget or hopefully they don't forget.
Hopefully they always remember.
They know where they came from and they know what it took to get to where they are.
Why are we like that?
Why do we only love the underdog until he isn't under anymore?
Why don't we rejoice in success for the long haul?
We have underdogs all around us.
People who are struggling to move forward.
We need to have their back and cheer them on.
We have used to be underdogs all around us.
People who have kept on going and made it and we need to rejoice in that.
Today somewhere around you is going to be an underdog.
Encourage him on.
Today somewhere around you is going to be a used to be underdog, don't think bad of them.
People are funny but we don't have to be funny people.
Lets cheer others on to bigger things and rejoice with those who have made it.
And remember, there will always be ways we are the underdog in an area and always be some way we are on top.
We don't need to cry when we are under and we don't need to crow when we are are over.
We just need to be who we are.
