I've got so much to tell you. I'm so excited. I don't even know how to tell the story, so I guess I'll just start talking, (or typing as the case may be). Mark has been looking for land for a couple of years now. He wanted to build more poultry barns. I wasn't to interested. In the beginning I was just plain flat against it and then I moved to I didn't care one way or the other. He would go and look at places, but nothing ever seemed right. Most of the time I  didn't even go look. I figured what ever he did would be okay with me. Then one day he comes in and tells me about a place he had told me about before, I never was interested before but this time I just felt something come over me and I said, "Lets go see it."  We got in the truck and went and the rest is history.
From the very first it felt right. It feels like my heart is there . If you know me you know I'm not a real big  house person. What I mean by that is I don't get real excited about houses. Big houses, little houses, well decorated houses or plain houses. What draws me is "the at home feeling," not so much the package the place comes in.  When I stepped out of the truck and my feet hit the ground , when I touched the soil of the place it was if God said this is for you.

Later on at the Bible study I'm doing with the ladies from around home and C-burg area we were reading about Abraham and someone said something about God giving Abraham the land. My ears perked up and I took note. It's in Genesis when God is showing Abraham the promised land. In chapter 14:17 God tells Abraham, "Go walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you."  God was telling Abraham, go ahead, walk around on it, look at it. It's going to be yours, I'm giving it to you.   That was the exact feeling I had when I got out of the truck, we walked to the river and I loved it.   This is big for me because I'm by nature not a real "feely" person. I tend to operate on facts and black in white.  But I can't deny it. I'm feeling a lot about this place.

God has been so good to Mark and I. We know who we are and where we come from and we just give God the glory for all He gives us.

There will be a lot of work to do and I'll be telling you all about our progress. Oh yeah, one more thing, This place has a cute little guest house on it or what I like to call, "the little house" One of my dearest friends has a "little house" on her farm and  she has Barb, Dana and me over for prayer, and Bible study... In a little black corner of my  heart I have secretly always had, "little house envy."  I am so glad God in His mercy overlooked that part and saw fit to give me my own little house.

So I guess I finish this post the same way I started it, "I'm so excited!"  I can't wait to have you over!!
